1)? Use it as a replacement for images

gifs amplify content

I’m sure we’ve all been on those sites that have these super long articles with tons of GIFs, but they’re not put up in a way which is aesthetically pleasing. I mean, have you ever tried to just focus on the text while being distracted by all of these GIFs?

It’s very common nowadays for sites to change images(especially maybe the ‘featured image’) using Javascript/AJAX, but did you know that you can use GIFs as a replacement for images? Sites such as https://reactgif.com/ can make it super easy to upload an image and then show a reactable GIF in its place! In another situation, I’ve seen people using link shorteners like bit.ly or goo.gl which let’s you customize your own GIF as a replacement for the link.

2) Use it as a promotion tool!

Many brands have been using this for years and we can see why! It’s a great way to get your audience excited and eager to learn more about the product animation production company. This is usually used in tandem with an email list signup or social media follow, but it can be a great incentive for people who’ve just discovered your site.

There are so many opportunities to have fun with GIFs. They don’t necessarily have to be used for sharing content, but they can also be used for sharing your brand’s logo/mascot or even a message that you want to get across.

3) Make them interactive!

What if you could make something you’re trying to explain even easier for your audience to understand? With GIFs, you can let them ‘try’ out the product before they buy it! It’s a great way to increase customer satisfaction and gives people a fun idea of what using the tool would be like.

Not only that, but you can also use this if you’ve just released a new product! GIFs are an easy way to show off what your product can do and it’s hard to not be impressed with this type of marketing.

4) Use them as responses/replies

This is one of the most common ways people use GIFs on social media, but you might not realize how much more you can do with it. Not only can you use GIFs to respond to messages or tweets, but also when replying to an email!

This is especially helpful if you’re in a customer service role. If someone sends over a question via your site’s contact us page, you could send them their answer in the form of a quick GIF! It’s a great way to save time and provide quick feedback.

5) Use them in your content!

This is what you’re here for, right? It’s definitely a great way to make your content more fun and engaging. GIFs may seem like a simple form of entertainment, but it can also be used as a storytelling tool!

For example, I’ve seen people using GIFs as captions for their image posts or use them in conjunction with text. You can easily tell the same story but with just one more image. It’s a great way to spread more awareness about an issue or to get more people involved in something you’re passionate about.

These are just 5 of the many ways GIFs can be used, so what do you think is the best way for us to use them? Do you have a great idea of how to use GIFs in your content? Some people hire an animation studio to create animated explainer videos in the form of GIFs. Let us know in the comments below!
