Benefits of Online Therapy for Depression

Online therapy for depression has become increasingly popular in recent years. There are several reasons for this. First, online therapy is convenient. You can receive therapy from the comfort of your own home, without having to travel to an office. This can be particularly helpful for people who live in rural areas or have mobility issues. Second, online therapy is flexible. You can schedule your sessions at a time that works for you, even if that means outside of traditional office hours. Third, online therapy is affordable to clients, most insurances pay for telehealth therapy along with self paying options,  making it accessible to more people.

How Online Therapy Works

Online therapy for depression works much the same way as traditional therapy. You will work with a licensed therapist who will help you identify and work through the issues that are contributing to your depression. The difference is that you will communicate with your therapist using a secure online platform, such as video conferencing. Your therapist will be able to provide the same level of support and guidance as they would in-person. They may also use tools such as worksheets and exercises to help you manage your symptoms.

Introducing Truth Center for Health and Healing

We are an online therapy provider that specializes in helping people who are struggling with depression. Our mission is to help people heal and live their best lives. We do this by  looking  from a trauma-informed lens that allows us to not ask what is wrong with you but rather what happened to you. We offer a range of online therapy services, including individual therapy, couples therapy, and family therapy.

Individual Therapy for Depression

Individual therapy for depression is a one-on-one session with a licensed therapist. During your sessions, you will work with your therapist to identify the underlying causes of your depression and develop strategies for managing your symptoms. We offer individual therapy sessions that are 50 minutes long. You can schedule your sessions at a time that works for you and your therapist. You will communicate with your therapist using a secure video platform.

Couples Therapy for Depression

Depression can have a significant impact on your relationships. If you are in a committed relationship, your depression may be affecting your partner as well. Couples therapy for depression can help you and your partner work to learn how to navigate the depression together.  We offer couples therapy sessions that are 50 minutes long, with additional time added as needed and appropriate. During your sessions, you and your partner will work with a licensed therapist to identify the issues that are affecting your relationship and develop strategies for improving communication and connection.

We use multiple treatment styles that are evidence-based and/or systemic in nature that support the management and reduction of depression. They include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Family Systems Therapy  and/or Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) to help their clients manage their symptoms and improve their mental health.

Family Therapy

We offer family therapy as one of our core services. Our licensed therapists work with families to identify the root causes of their issues and provide tools and strategies to help them overcome them.

One of the main goals of family therapy is to improve communication within the family. Many conflicts and issues arise due to misunderstandings or miscommunications between family members. By working with a therapist, families can learn how to express their thoughts and feelings more effectively and listen to each other with greater empathy and understanding.

Another important aspect of family therapy is identifying and addressing dysfunctional patterns of interaction. Often, families get stuck in core negative patterns of interaction that can be difficult to break without outside help. Our therapists work with families to identify these patterns and develop strategies for breaking free from them.
