Steps to perform Natrajasana

You need to stand straight with feet together on the floor and keep hands at your sides, eyes looking forward. Breathe normally and stand upon the left leg and fold back the right leg at the knee. Grab all the toes of the right leg with the palm of the right hand and slowly raise your right arm upward to 45 degrees from the floor while lifting the left leg as high as possible with left arm. Be in the same position for a few minutes and not forget to keep your gaze above the horizon. Begin by holding the Nataraja-asana for about a minute and later you can increase the time as you become more comfortable with this posture. Repeat it 3 times on each side, alternately from right to left.

Do make sure that this asana must be practiced with an empty stomach or ensure that you have your meals 4 to 6 hours before the practice so that the food is digested. You also make sure your bowels are empty before you practice in order to go in a flow and practice the pose without any hassle.
