Car Trips or Road trips are one of the most popular forms of travel all over the world. Not only is it quite fun, but it is also a way to spend time and bond with your friends or family. Personally, car road trips are one of the most fun ways to engage with everyone present. 

More often than not, most of the road trips I take are for going to an escape room. Some of these places are located quite far and require more than 2-3 hours of driving. One of the best ways to pass our time during our journey is by playing cards. I always keep a deck of cards in my car, allowing us to play a host of different games while we enjoy our ride.?

Each player must play a card of the same suit, and the highest-ranking card wins the trick. It is quite a fun game that you will enjoy on a road trip. 

2. Euchre?

Also Known as Euchre is a great game that can be played among four people. The Standard game uses a deck of 24 Cards. The cards in a deck are A, K, Q, J, 10, and 9 of the four suits involved. If you have a standard 52 deck card, you can eliminate cards from it to make it the required 24 card deck (remove 2-8 playing cards of each suit).  

Once a round starts, a standard game progresses where the highest trick wins, or the trump card wins. The goal is to score the most points. 10 to be precise. You should really try this one out.  

3.?UNO?

UNO is a famous fast-paced game that can be played among a lot of people or just two people.  The objective is simple, you need to eliminate all your cards before everyone else. There are a lot of action cards that allow you to prolong the game for others.  It is a fun game that you should definitely have while traveling. 

4. Texas Hold?em?

A variant of involves people being dealt 2 cards. The dealer then places 5 community cards. Three initially, one single later, and one at the final stage. The game is simple, you need to have the best hand possible in order to win.?

There are quite a lot of hands, with some being the best and some being the worst.  It is a fun game that you can play with your family and friends. 

5. Monopoly Deal?

One of the greatest ways to pass the time is to play monopoly. However, playing the board game is not feasible on a car ride.  Well, the mono deal or Monopoly deal allows you to play your favorite game in a card form. It is a fun and swift way to pass time. 

6.?Napoleon?

Think of Napoleon as a simplified Euchre. There are 28-40 cards, with no particular cards being played at a time. The game setup is similar to euchre. You get 5 cards, and you need to bid the number of tricks and then aim to win. This game does not use Teams, thus perfect for playing when one of you is driving.

7. Old Maid?

An interesting game that you can play with a standard 52 deck or with special customized cards. 

The objective is to discard pairs of cards and then pick up cards until no more cards can be paired. The player with no more pairs to be made losses.  

8. Gin Rummy?

Gin rummy is a two-player variant of Rummy. Depending on the number of people involved, you can choose to play either of these two. Played using the standard 52 decks, the objective of 100 points keeps the game interesting. Finding a sequence in the same suit or the same rank in a different suit is what will give you points.  

9. Fish Pond?

This is a simple game that requires you to own the maximum number of cards at the end of the game. This is similar to the old maid in quite a few ways. You need to make pairs, and the game technically ends when a player is left with no cards. As and when you make pairs, you keep them down. 

10.?Whist?

Whist is an old game. There are 52 cards, and it is played in teams. This is quite similar to bridge. There are 13 tricks in a game. The team that scores the highest points wins the game.
